Meeting Place:

Coachman’s Trail Clubhouse, 11412 Coachmans Way.

We begin and end most weekend camping and hikes in the parking lot at the clubhouse.

Meeting Time: Monday 7:30-8:30

We follow the traditional Wake County School Schedule. We break mid July through the first week in August.

Troop 215 requires a full Class A uniform be worn to all troop meetings and activities unless otherwise stated. A description of this uniform is found in the BSA handbook. The Scout neckerchief, slide, troop number, book will be supplied by the troop for all new and bridging Scouts.

All uniforms and Scouting items may be purchased at the: Occoneechee Council Shop, 3231 Atlantic Ave., (919) 850-0301.

Summer Camp:

Troop 215 attends a BSA summer camp every July. We traditionally attend the week after the 4th of July holiday. Summer camp is Sunday through the following Saturday. Activities include rank advancement, merit badges and high adventure sports (for older scouts). Camp Durant in NC offers a provisional camp every summer for those Scouts unable to attend camp with the troop or wish to enjoy a second camping opportunity. A yearly physical exam is required for camp and is kept on file with the troop.

Dues are 75.00 per year and pay for monthly camping fees, camping equipment, summer camp scholarships (for those in need), registration with BSA, merit badges and all rank advancements.

Fundraisers:

  • We sell Boy Scout popcorn each year.
  • We participate in the BSA national fundraiser– Friends of Scouting.
